Introducing the first annual “Shoot (Your Load) Out”

The alternative more exciting shoot out series.

With the silver being decided over 11 meetings up and down the land, one truly dominant round could take the top prize.

And really – that is dull…. And the shoot out has shot its load… Most disappointing.....

Hot of the heels of the much loved Dominator Series where cars present equals more points on offer, lets explain this system by addressing the problems with the current system

"But A Yellow Top could be Silver"

Because the entry to the national series is via championship win and points scored – a yellow top could win one of the smaller titles, and lo – they could, in theory, land with the ultimate upgrade come November

So what have we done to address this?

We’ve taken the entrants and their national point scores as of 20th August, and totalled them up together. We’ve then taken their individual scores and divided into the total points, and then carved up the points available pot (120 points 15+14+13 down to 1) in proportion to the points scored.

This means a driver with 300 points has a disadvantage over that one which has 1300 points. This gives meaning to the cumulative scoring prior to the start of the series, and gives them a little head start on their rivals.

How is it scored?

The rounds are scored as per the national points. The top scorer will get 15 points, the second highest 14. No shows score nothing, but those who turn up but don’t trouble the scorers get points in this system. This would encourage the non “dual” surface drivers to turn up at unfavoured rounds.

This will then give a close run thing heading to Belle Vue on the 12 November!
